Design for Health
The Design for Health Studio is a multidisciplinary initiative sponsored by a design firm, dedicated to creating healing environments in clinical settings, including a micro-hospital with primary care, emergency, acute care, and mental health facilities. Rooted in evidence-based design, students collaborate with industry experts through lectures, presentations, and hands-on projects.
Real-world experience prepares them for healthcare design complexities. Field trips and financial support enhance experiential learning. Moreover, students gain valuable insights into Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE), learning how to assess building performance against design goals.
Specialization, collaboration, communication, and evidence-based design, are emphasized, empowering students to excel in healthcare design.
