Experiential Design in Rome, Italy: An Elevated Perspective
This multidisciplinary studio will focus on the creation of a next generation experiential design proposal aimed at furthering an introduction to the famous Eternal City (Rome, Italy). We will work with the Trajan Market Museum, which is close to the Colosseum and multiple renowned historic sites.
This year’s design proposals will include an exhibition design focusing on Ancient Greek and Roman Games, as well as a museum facade re-design (integrating stairs/elevator for access to the museum’s adjacent medieval tower). Additionally, proposals may include the design of a connective greenspace containing innovative temporary structures housing dining and gift shops for the museum.
Four to six person multidisciplinary teams will create innovative, professional-level design proposals unique to each group — which will be presented to the ‘client.’ The comprehensive proposals will explore advanced experiential design ideals to celebrate a potential exhibition and new welcome center vantage point.
