The Power of Creating Opportunity for Student Educational Success

College of Design faculty and staff are invited to participate in this optional seminar to understand the power each of us has in creating opportunity for everyone – especially students – to thrive and reach their potential; and to learn our own unique ways to strengthen a culture of respect and connection to help students succeed educationally. Through individual and group activities, we will enrich our plans for courses, projects and programs for the coming academic year to advance our core educational mission in Design.

The seminar and discussions will be facilitated by Manisha Paudel, who has more than a decade of experience working with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the US Department of State, the International Cities/Counties Management Association and several nonprofit boards in the Des Moines metro. Originally from Nepal, Paudel holds a BA in international relations from Drake University and an MS in public service management from DePaul University.
