“Currents,” a selection of artwork by 30 College of Design art and visual culture faculty, will be on display Aug. 21–Sept. 7 in Gallery 181.

This dynamic exhibition features drawings, paintings, mixed media, woods, metals, ceramics and much more. Faculty artwork references a multitude of topics including climate change, community, nature and technology.

A closing reception will be from 4:30–6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7. Faculty also invite you to walk through the show with them and learn more about the work in an informal gallery talk from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31.

Gallery 181 is located on the first floor of the College of Design building on the west side of the Iowa State campus. Exhibition viewing hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special arrangement. Closed weekends and holidays. Admission is free.
