How to Repair America’s Broken Housing Systems – Jenny Schuetz

Jenny Schuetz is a Senior Fellow at Brookings Metro, where her research focuses on urban economics and housing policy, particularly how government policies impact housing affordability and economic opportunity. She has written extensively for academic and public audiences, and her book Fixer-Upper: How to Repair America’s Broken Housing Systems has received coverage on Marketplace, The Ezra Klein Show, Slate and Bloomberg CityLab.

She will give a free public lecture on the book’s themes at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, in 0022 Sukup Hall at Iowa State. Her presentation is supported by the Polk County Housing Trust Fund (PCHTF) and the Gordon Family Endowment in the ISU Department of Community and Regional Planning, the College of Design, ISU Extension and Outreach Community and Economic Development and the master of real estate development program.
