Research Interests
Bruno Oro’s research is centered around the integration of Universal Design principles, particularly in the development of inclusive products and environments. His work in Assistive Technologies focuses on understanding how users, especially children, perceive and interact with assistive devices, as explored in projects like the Teddy Bear Experiment and the Happy Paws Project. These initiatives aim to reduce stigma and improve user experience in medical settings.
Bruno is also dedicated to advancing Design for Learning, where he explores innovative ways to enhance student engagement through projects that integrate User Experience and Design Thinking methodologies. This includes his research on using gamification in education to make complex design concepts more accessible and enjoyable for students, fostering creative problem-solving and deeper learning outcomes.
His work spans the intersections of design, education, and technology, aiming to create more inclusive, engaging, and user-centered experiences. Click here to see his projects.
