Sanchez was a children’s ministry intern for First Baptist Church Maryville in Illinois last summer. She studied abroad with the College of Design Rome Program in fall 2019 and participated in the Venice Biennale. She took part in the Thomas L. She volunteered with Overflow Thrift Store, Food at First and Special Olympics, among other community service. She was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Graphic Design Social Club.

In recognition of her achievement, Sanchez will receive a letter from ISU President Wendy Wintersteen, a certificate from the George Washington Carver Academic Faculty Council and a green stole, as well as a notation on her academic transcript. After graduation, Sanchez will work as a freelance designer and plans to join a language-learning center in Costa Rica as its art director when global travel resumes.
