“Situational Identities: This and Something Else” a master of fine arts thesis exhibition by Amenda Tate, an integrated visual arts graduate student, will be on display Tuesday, Nov. 14 through Friday, Nov. 17 and Monday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 1 in Gallery 181 in the College of Design. Exhibition viewing hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. A closing reception will be held from 5–8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1.

This interactive exhibition features new media art systems. Custom-designed software, webcams, digital images and audio combine to respond to the physical presence and movement of individuals in these participatory and interdisciplinary artworks. The exhibition is an invitation to explore the complex nature of constructing identity in a technologically mediated world and consider the evolving relationship between art, technology and human experience.
