The College of Design offers one public walk-in computer lab for all students to use, as well as two teaching labs that can be scheduled for class use. A remote lab is also available for virtual connection.

All of the machines are dual-boot macOS and Windows, pre-loaded with commonly-needed software to ensure students can access the programs used as part of their academic courses and projects.

The College of Design has a number of ‘virtual desktops’/virtual machines available. Students can connect for additional computational power and Windows 10 software packages.

Data is not saved between sessions.  When you disconnect, anything saved on the virtual machine will be deleted. Save your work and upload it to CyBox or another storage solution. If you accidentally disconnect, there is a small 5-10 minute window to reconnect to the same session, but it is not guaranteed. You are responsible for your data.
