In her role as a board member and education director of the Industrial Designers Society of America, Verena Paepcke-Hjeltness, associate professor of industrial design, led her third International Design Conference Education Symposium since 2020 last week (Sept. 13–14) in Seattle. Paepcke-Hjeltness curated the program with the Education Symposium Committee, which included Louise Manfredi, assistant professor of industrial and interaction design at Syracuse University; James Rudolph, assistant professor of industrial design at University of Notre Dame, and Owen Foster, lecturer in industrial design at Georgia Institute of Technology and Morehouse College.
