Verena Paepcke-Hjeltness, assistant professor of industrial design, is working with four first-year University Honors Program students on sketchnoting research. Through her affiliation with the Industrial Designers Society of America, she was approached by the IDSA Special Interest Group on Sustainability and the IDSA executive director to graphically record an ideathon on sustainability. Her undergraduate research assistant, Annaka Ketterer, senior in industrial design, and the four honors students took on the challenge to live sketchnote the virtual event with 92 registrants.
