Over the past month, Ulrike Passe, professor of architecture, was invited to present her research virtually at two international expert meetings. On March 24 she talked about the development of a modeling framework for refined residential occupancy schedules at the Center for Advanced Power Research Spring meeting “Rapid Decarbonization Impacts on the Electric Grid” by invitation of Andreas Wagner from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, who also led the subsequent panel discussion with utilities professionals.

On April 14, Passe joined the international Indoor Air Quality, Ventilation and Energy Conservation in Buildings (IAQVEC) technical seminar to present “Holistic strategies for natural ventilation in a warming urban climate.” The seminar series brings together researchers across the globe with the resaerch goal of simultaneously improving indoor environmental quality (IEQ) and energy efficiency enhancing wellbeing and sustainability.
