Ted Grevstad-Nordbrock, assistant professor of community and regional planning, gave an invited talk via Zoom for the Iowa Chapter of Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM)’s webinar series on historic restoration and preservation on Tuesday, July 13. He and architect Steve King, former Iowa deputy state historic preservation officer now with RDG Planning & Design in Des Moines, co-presented on federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits that support preservation activity.

The event was co-sponsored by the Ivy College of Business and master of real estate development (MRED) program — which is jointly administered by the College of Design and Ivy College of Business — among others. The presentation helped expose commercial real estate developers across the Midwest to the development potential of public subsidies for private preservation activity.
