Iowa State University architecture faculty members Shelby Doyle (assistant professor and Daniel J. Huberty Faculty Fellow in Architecture), Leslie Forehand (lecturer) and Nick Senske (assistant professor) were awarded a 2017 ISU Women’s and Diversity Grant (recently renamed the Inclusion Initiatives Grant) to offer “Cyborg Sessions: Women in Robotics Workshop,” a free workshop introducing robotic drawing to 20 students across design disciplines. Students who identify as female were given registration priority, but all students were welcome.

This work has been supported by CCL Associate Erin Hunt (BArch 2017 Architecture) and Undergraduate Research Assistants Nick Loughrey and Sarah Schneider. It will culminate with a public lecture by Madeline Gannon of Atonaton on Wednesday, Oct. 18, part of the ISU Department of Architecture 2017-18 Public Programs: For Other Architectures.
