Iowa State University architecture assistant professors Shelby Doyle and Nick Senske, lecturer Leslie Forehand and Computation and Construction Lab associate Erin Hunt (BArch 2017 Architecture) won the International Masonry Institute’s inaugural Joan B. Calambokidis Innovation in Masonry Competition award in the young architects and engineers category for their latest project: 3D-printed ceramic facades that can be used to cool buildings.
