Robert Jinkins, an Iowa State University graduate student in integrated visual arts from Rewey, Wisconsin, won the Winifred V. Brown Best of Show award sponsored by the Brown Endowment Fund in the 50th Clay, Fiber, Paper, Glass, Metal, Wood National All-Media Exhibit on display Jan. 26 through April 7 at the Octagon Center for the Arts, 427 Douglas Ave., Ames.

Jinkins received the award for his painting “Immigrant: Symphony in Sepia.” Juror Peter Pinnell, a professor of art at the University of Nebraska, announced awards at a public reception Friday, Jan. 26. Read more
