Miriam Martincic, assistant teaching professor of graphic design, created a series of illustrated letters for the German newspaper Die Zeit. The illustrations were used in the travel section to accompany pre-internet-era travel stories. The letter E, pictured below, tells the story of a woman’s trip to Barcelona in 1980. A series of unexpected events happened while she waited for friends at a bar.
