Kelsi Schecht, a sophomore in integrated studio arts, received the Surface Design Outstanding Student Award from the Surface Design Association. Schecht, from Ames, will receive a certificate and a complimentary one-year digital SDA membership, access to SDA regional groups and SDA-sponsored conferences and events, and exhibition and professional development opportunities, among other benefits.
