Artist Ingrid Lilligren, professor of art and visual culture, will host a series of open houses at her studio in downtown Ames to share new work created in fall 2021 as part of an Iowa State University Faculty Professional Development Assignment and in spring 2022, and fired over the course of spring and summer in various kilns.
The “Beauty Project” explores ideas about and meanings of beauty, including objective and subjective – or intersubjective – responses to objects, persons, places, ideas and experiences. View the new pieces and engage in conversation with Lilligren and other visitors during these public open houses scheduled from 2–5 p.m. Saturdays, Nov. 19, Nov. 26 and Dec. 3 at Blue Door Studio, 108 5th Street, Ames (entrance on alley).
