Firat Erdim, assistant professor of architecture, is a summer artist-in-residence at Sculpture Space in Utica, New York, as part of the first full residency cohort since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Erdim and composer Paula Matthusen will perform Kite Choir — an ensemble of custom-made kites and sound instruments that build upon traditions of singing kites from China, Japan, Vietnam and Bermuda — from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Saturday, July 31, at Stone Quarry Hill Park in Cazenovia, New York.
