“Island Life: Capitalism’s Eco-Imaginary,” an essay by Douglas Spencer, associate professor and director of graduate education in the Iowa State University Department of Architecture, has been published in Log 47: Overcoming Carbon Form. Spencer and other authors including Daniel Barber, Michael Bell and Elisa Iturbe will speak about their essays at the journal’s launch Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Center for Architecture in New York City. Their presentations will be followed by a roundtable discussion and Q&A moderated by editor Cynthia Davidson.
