Breanna Kixmiller, an Iowa State University senior in integrated studio arts, received an SDA Outstanding Student Award from the Surface Design Association. The award is presented annually for innovative work in textile media by student makers. Kixmiller was chosen from among 43 nominations nationwide. She will receive a certificate, access to SDA regional groups and SDA-sponsored conferences and events, and exhibition and professional development opportunities, among other benefits.
