Ben Shirtcliff, associate professor of landscape architecture and urban design, is an invited participant in the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education‘s Virtual Global Faculty Week 2021, taking place online this week.
On Wednesday, March 3, he will participate in a panel on “New Ways and Methods to Research the City of the 21st Century” with Joan Moreno from UPC-Barcelona Tech (Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya) and Susana Lopez Varela from PUCP (Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru), moderated by Diana Garcia Cejudo from Monterrey Tech, where he’ll present an argument for social media as a method to advance inclusive, urban design.
On Friday, March 5, he will join a review with an urban design studio at Monterrey Tech, where he’ll share with the students a more detailed exploration of his Vertically Integrated Project team’s “City Leisure and Play” method of Search, Map, Code and Create.
