Paintings by Barbara Walton, an Iowa State University associate professor of art and visual culture, will be on display in Waxing Poetic: The Journey of An Accidental Scientist, a solo exhibition Feb. 19 through April 1 at the Waldemar A. Schmidt Art Gallery in the Bachman Fine Arts Center at Wartburg College in Waverly. Walton will give a gallery talk at 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, followed by a reception from 6-8 p.m.
