The Museum of Modern Art recently shared an interview with April Eisman, Iowa State University associate professor of art and visual culture, who gave a presentation on “Field of Friction: An Introduction to East German Art/Painting” as part of MoMA’s C-Map (Contemporary and Modern Art Perspectives) Project. Eisman has received an NEH Fellowship to conduct research in Germany in 2018-2019 for a book on East German artist Angela Hampel.
