April Eisman, associate professor of art and visual culture (art history), published a text on the artist Angela Hampel in the catalog Utopie und Untergang: Kunst in der DDR. It accompanies a major exhibition of East German art at the Kunstpalast in Düsseldorf. Hampel is the focus of Eisman’s second book project and her 2018-19 NEH Research Fellowship.
