April Eisman, associate professor of art and visual culture (art history), has been invited to participate in a podium discussion in Leipzig, Germany, on Tuesday, Oct. 15. She will also present a paper on “Women Artists Before and After 1989“ (in German) on Wednesday, Oct. 16, which draws on work for her third book project, Five Female Painters from East Germany. The conference is in connection with a major exhibition of East German art at the Museum der bildende Künste Leipzig.
