Alex Braidwood, associate professor of graphic design, will be part of the MDW (Midway) Fair Sept. 9–11 at MANA Contemporary in Chicago. At 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, on the Main Stage, Braidwood will present MASS (Mechanism for Actualizing Speculative Soundscapes), a naturesound-driven live audio/visual performance created using field recordings from a variety of natural places, including Midwestern prairies, wetlands, forests and areas around the Great Lakes, including in Isle Royale National Park.
