Bambi Yost, an associate professor of landscape architecture at Iowa State University, gave two presentations at the 20th Triennial International Play Association Conference in Calgary, Canada, Sept. 13-17. Yost and Daniel Jost presented “Challenging Perceptions of Risk & Making the Case for Embracing Risk-Taking,” and Yost, Lois Brink and Taylor Danger presented “Re-imagining and Rebuilding Public Elementary Schoolyards: City-wide Initiatives, Strategies, and Lessons Learned.” Yost was also quoted in a Calgary Herald article about the conference.
