CEAH Director Position

Four faculty candidates will be interviewed for the position of CEAH director. All candidates will participate in a public forum as part of the interview process. Each forum will begin with a brief presentation by the candidate followed by a question and answer period.

Funding Opportunity
Fulbright U.S. Scholars Program
Due: August 1st

The Core Fulbright Scholar Program (AAU recognized) offers over 500 teaching, research or combination teaching/research awards in over 125 countries. Opportunities are available for faculty as well as for professionals, artists, journalists, scientists, lawyers, independent scholars and many others. In addition to several new program models designed to meet the changing needs of U.S. academics and professionals, Fulbright is offering more opportunities for flexible, multi-country grants.

Fall Semester

Faculty Professional Development Assignments (FPDA)

   LAS: anticipated Sept.
   DES: anticipated Oct.
FPDAs allow faculty time to advance work on research and scholarship that is difficult or impossible to perform in conjunction with one's on-campus responsibilities.

Foreign Travel Grants

   College deadlines:
   anticipated September

These grant funds, offered three times a year, support a portion of round trip international airfare. Each college has an internal deadline.

LAS: new Signature Research Incubator (SRI)

   LOI: October 1st 

LAS faculty may apply for 3 years of seed funding at 2 distinct annual funding levels: $25-50k and $100k. Successful SRI proposals will stimulate and foster interdisciplinary collaborative scholarship, research, and programs.  

Publication Subvention Grant

   anticipated October
The primary intent of these grants is to support the low-volume scholarly projects that are not expected to be commercially viable without assistance. Itemized budgets may include: photocopying, new illustrations, fees for the use of images, indexing, maps, grad student hourly support, and wire transfer fees.

LAS: Small Grants Program

   anticipated October
Intended for LAS faculty in disciplines (primarily humanities) that have limited opportunities for obtaining external research funding. 

Big 12 Faculty Fellowship

   anticipated October
This Fellowship Program allows faculty the opportunity to travel to member institutions to exchange ideas and research. (SVPP RFP)

DES: Outreach Studio Grant

   anticipated November
Design College faculty may apply for Direct Studio Support or Planning Support.

Miller Faculty Fellowship

This program provides faculty with opportunities to enhance their scholarly work in the undergraduate academic programs of the university and to develop innovative approaches to enhance student learning.
