Arts and Humanities Research Update

Limited Submission Competition
NEH Summer Stipends

National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipends  support individuals pursuing advanced research in the humanities. The $6k award supports two consecutive summer months of full-time effort.

ISU may submit only two applications to NEH each year. Pre-proposals are due on March 24th by 5pm.

If you have enjoyed previous CEAH Research Symposiums, consider participating in ISU's Research Day.

Faculty from all disciplines, departments and colleges are encouraged to present their research, scholarship and creative activity in timed Lightning Talks and/or Poster Sessions.

Please plan to join as a presenter or participant to learn more about one another's work and meet new colleagues.
This event will showcase ISU faculty research, offer tables for breakout discussions and end with a hosted reception.

This interactive seminar will cover the 25 most common questions, hurdles and roadblocks. Participants will learn how a new award is set up at ISUe, and about campus partners and resources available to help them navigate their post-award requirements

Artist-in-Residence

2-4 week residencies for artists, musicians, composers, and performers of all genres.

Women & Diversity Grant

   March 1st
Up to $5k in support for either one-time programming or as seed money.

Foreign Travel Grant

   DES - March 24th

These grant funds, offered three times a year, support a portion of round trip international airfare. Each college has an internal deadline.  (Faculty Senate RFP)

Publication Subvention Grant

   April 3rd
The primary intent of these grants is to support the low-volume scholarly projects that are not expected to be commercially viable without assistance. Itemized budgets may include: photocopying, new illustrations, fees for the use of images, indexing, maps, grad student hourly support, and wire transfer fees.  (VPR RFP)
