Lisa Hendricks, Regional Lead, Sub-Saharan Africa / Middle East and North Africa, of the
Fulbright Scholars Program , part of the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) will be on campus to offer a workshop and private consultations with faculty.
Workshop topics include:
• Opportunities for teaching, research, and flexible initiatives in more than 125 countries
• Tips on how to craft a competitive application, including how to make contacts abroad and choosing the right country and award for you.
Individual Consultations:
To reserve an individual 30-minute meeting with the Fulbright representative at the times listed above, please contact Megan Peterson by Feb. 7.

ISU Research Day
Tuesday, March 21st
(after Spring Break)
Faculty from all ISU departments and colleges will be encouraged to present their research, scholarship and creative activity in timed Lightning Talks and/or Poster Sessions.
Please plan to join as a presenter or participant to learn more about one another's work and meet new colleagues. This event will showcase ISU faculty research, offer tables for breakout discussions and end with a hosted reception.

NEH Summer Study Opportunities
Apply by March 1st
Each year, NEH offers tuition-free opportunities for faculty to study a variety of humanities topics.
Stipends of $600-$3,300 help cover expenses for these one- to four-week programs. Chose from among 7 seminars and 17 institutes offered between mid-June and early-August.

Humanities Iowa - Major Grants
Apply by May 1st
Humanities Iowa grants support humanities programs for the out-of-school adult public. They are particularly interested in supporting projects that stimulate meaningful community dialogue, attract diverse audiences, are participatory and engaging, and invite discovery of the humanities in interesting and exciting ways.
Collaborative projects involving multiple community organizations that serve a broad constituency are given preference.
Awards between $3,001 - $10,000 require a 100% match.
