Friday Research Seminar: Hans Klein-Hewett
The Changing Face of American Landscape Tourism
Friday, Oct 19th
12:10 -1 p.m., room 130, College of Design
American landscape tourism has changed dramatically due to changes in transportation, wealth, politics, and perhaps most importantly, expectations. What started as a month-long sojourn for the elite became a day- or week-long expectation for all classes. This presentation will focus on the changing nature of landscape tourism, with a focus on how tourist destinations struggle to keep up with national trends.
Hans Klein-Hewett, assistant professor in Landscape Architecture.
