The IDRO Internal Outreach Networking Grant encourages College of Design faculty to conduct outreach activities that engage communities in Iowa, or to develop ideas that can become the basis for future larger-scale funding requests. The Institute for Design Research and Outreach plans to design future outreach networking events around themes developed with the advice of the Research, Extension and Outreach Council.

Funding: Up to $5,000 (two available)

Applicants must be currently employed faculty within the College of Design including tenure-track or term faculty.

Application Review and Notification

Submissions will be evaluated solely on the application form response. Review of the application will be based upon the proposed impacts and improvements made by the project and the community or communities served. Completed applications will be reviewed by the Institute of Design Research and Outreach in consultation with the Office of the Dean.

Applicants will be notified within two weeks of the application deadline. Successful applicants are expected to provide a one-page report within one month of the completion date of the project to jrobison@iastate.edu. Awardees will be expected to present at an IDRO Research Seminar in the semester following work completion. Reports will be shared for potential dissemination on the college website and other avenues.
