Two Iowa State University College of Design students have received SDA Outstanding Student Awards from the Surface Design Association. The award is presented annually for innovative work in textile media by student makers. University Honors Committee Award for Excellence in Honors Teaching Awardee Andrea Wheeler, Iowa State University assistant professor of architecture, is the recipient of the 2017 University Honors Committee Award for Excellence in Honors Teaching. The recognition carries a monetary award of $500. Wheeler will be recognized at the Honors Poster Session and Convocation from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, in the Memorial Union Great Hall.
