Spring Core Exhibition to feature student work April 14–27 at ISU College of Design
AMES, Iowa –– Student projects from the Iowa State University College of Design’s introductory design and drawing studios will be showcased from April 14–27 at various locations within the college. A public reception and studio open house will be held from 6–7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24.
The “Spring 2025 Core Exhibition” will feature a selection of current projects from the Design Studies 1020: Design Studio I and Design Studies 1310: Drawing I courses in the college’s first-year Core Design Program. Pieces will include pattern and texture drawing, mark making, still life and representational drawing, color theory and design, and three-dimensional and processional forms.
Student work will be on view in the atrium, room 111 (formerly known as the Reading Room), the Pickard Chilton Gallery (first-floor hallway in the King Pavilion), second-floor hallways, and Core studio classrooms 226, 230, 234, 240, 246, 252, and 258. DSNS 1020 and 1310 studio classrooms will be open during the reception, with student work also exhibited in these spaces.
