ISU College of Design to honor LR Brand Consulting founder Lindrea Reynolds with 2024 Design Achievement Award

AMES, Iowa — Lindrea (Ross) Reynolds, the founder and CEO of LR Brand Consulting (LRBC), is a recipient of the 2024 Design Achievement Award presented by the Iowa State University College of Design.
Established in 1988, this award recognizes outstanding creative and professional achievements of alumni in all the college’s disciplines.
Reynolds, of Chicago, received a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design from Iowa State in 2007.
She will be recognized as part of Iowa State’s homecoming celebration at the ISU Alumni Association’s 93rd Honors and Awards Ceremony at 1:30 p.m. CT Friday, Nov. 1, at Stephens Auditorium in Ames and streamed live online. A dessert reception will follow. Both the ceremony and reception are free and open to the public.
Reynolds brings more than 15 years of marketing and design experience to help industry leaders articulate their value, invigorate their teams, build relationships through inclusive storytelling and spearhead initiatives that uplift humanity. Her diverse background includes providing guidance to Fortune 500 companies, implementing creative projects for healthcare systems, shaping multigenerational learning pathways and helping leaders amplify their influence for positive global impact. Her portfolio includes Google, Yahoo, Public Relations Society of America, Fifth Third Bank, City of Chicago and a roster of luminaries.
Prior to launching her consultancy in 2019, Reynolds led the marketing, creative and branding efforts for After School Matters, advised on city-wide visual communications curriculum for Chicago Public Schools and co-created the graphic design category for the Chicago Architecture Foundation’s Newhouse competition. She has taught inclusive brand marketing for the University of Chicago’s Department of Professional Education.
Reynolds is a member of the Chicago Advertising Federation Diverse Thought Leaders Council, Business Leadership Council and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), and a former board member of Project Osmosis, a nonprofit committed to empowering youth designers from under-resourced communities. She was invited to serve on the Executive Jury for the 2023 Gerety Awards, which celebrates international excellence in advertising and marketing through a female lens.
Reynolds received Project Osmosis’ 2011 Designing Your Future Leadership Award, Girls Inc. of Chicago’s 2020 She Shines Award and NAWBO’s 2024 Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She was featured as one of Voyage Chicago magazine’s “Inspirational Chicagoans” in 2018. Her expertise has been featured in Ad Age and Communication Arts magazines, and in 2024, BMO spotlighted Reynolds in its national small business advertising campaign, highlighting her role as a community-driven entrepreneur.
