AMES, Iowa — A diverse group of artists, designers and educators will share their work in a virtual lecture series hosted by the Iowa State University College of Design this spring.

“Our goal with this series is to present broad, interdisciplinary approaches to art, design and community engagement,” said assistant professors Shelby Doyle, architecture, and Olivia Valentine, art and visual culture, co-chairs of the college’s lectures and exhibitions committee.

“Each of the speakers critiques, interrogates and reconstructs the world around them through diverse approaches to their work, including painting, electronic wearables, radical pedagogy and documentary film.”

Most of the presentations will be held over Zoom. Participants are asked to register online in advance to attend these free online events. Please note: This is not a comprehensive list of all lectures and events within the College of Design; individual departments and programs also host speakers and activities, which are promoted on our website and social media.
