AMES, Iowa — Paige Holzbauer, an Iowa State University graduate student in integrated visual arts and sustainable environments, will share her work in a public thesis exhibition Nov. 9–25 at Reliable Street Gallery, 4625 Reliable St. in Ames.

Through a range of media including installation, found objects, printmaking and performance, “Restoration” will explore the relationship between semiotics and faith in relation to language surrounding the human body.

The show “documents the various objects and materials [I have] come in contact with and how the solidifying lens of faith has impacted their meanings and usage,” Holzbauer says in her artist statement. It also examines “the changing narratives and identities laid upon [me] and how that has impacted the meanings surrounding personal restoration.”

Hours and reception

Exhibition hours are 8 a.m.–3 p.m. Friday–Sunday and by appointment. A reception will be from 6–8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13. Guests will be required to wear face coverings.
