The national Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) has accredited the Bachelor of Science in community and regional planning and the Master of Community and Regional Planning degree programs at Iowa State University for a seven-year term, effective Jan. 1, 2018, through December 31, 2024. The programs’ exemplary record resulted in the longest accreditation period granted under PAB rules.

In its report, the PAB site visit team noted many areas of excellence, including a highly-engaged faculty; significant dual-degree options; and impressive efforts to expand the scope of students’ experience with urban settings given the institution’s rural location. The next accreditation review will be during the 2023-2024 academic year.
