Bachelor of Landscape Architecture
Internships
Landscape architecture students are required to participate in either an internship, study abroad, or National Student Exchange program at another university during the spring/summer of their fourth year in the professional Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program. Many students also pursue internship opportunities during other summer sessions. Internships are a great way to learn more about an organization and develop valuable skills for use later in your education and career. Most internships are paid, if modestly. While some students choose internships in Iowa, a number also obtain internships at national and international firms. Our departmental internship coordinator, along with the College of Design’s career services coordinator, assists students in their internship searches.
