Parks Library at 100: Art, Architecture, and Innovation
April 16 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Have you heard? 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the original Parks Library building on Iowa State’s campus.
The celebration continues with a University Lectures/University Library panel discussion on “Parks Library at 100: Art, Architecture, and Innovation,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 16 in Room 198 Parks Library.
Join panelists Hilary Seo, dean of the University Library; Sydney Marshall and Alison Ranniger Van Zante, curators with University Museums; and ISU architecture alumnus Paul Mankins, FAIA, LEED AP, founder and consulting principal at Substance Architecture and professor of practice in architecture at Iowa State, to learn about the library’s prized art, evolving architecture, and cutting-edge innovation, and how it has been shaped into a vibrant hub for learning, collaboration, and discovery.
Refreshments and optional tours will follow the free presentation.
