The Department of Graphic Design and the Department of Interior Design will co-host Kimiko Gunji, professor emeritus of Japan House at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and Diana Liao, education and engagement specialist with Japan House, for two individual lectures and a joint lecture and tea ceremony demonstration. The tea ceremony event will be from 11 a.m.–noon Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the College of Design atrium.

Gunji will speak about “Japanese Aesthetics” from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, in 1115 Pearson Hall. Liao will speak about “Japanese Etiquette” from 3-4 p.m. Monday in 2300 Marston Hall.
