Nine Iowa State University graduating seniors in industrial design will share their final projects in the “Pentimenti: Fall 2024 Industrial Design Senior Show” from 1–4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the Lyle and Anna Lightfoot Forum (atrium) of the College of Design. Snacks and beverages will be served at the come-and-go event.

Students created their physical and digital projects in the fall-semester Industrial Design Senior Project course taught by industrial design associate teaching professor Dan Neubauer. Students in the class are also organizing the show, which will include such products as actively cooled individual canned beverages, interactive budgeting devices, food allergy detection devices, cork lighting, haptic interactive objects for connection and visual impairment braille devices.

“Each student took great care in terms of creating a product that addressed an unmet need or created a plausible solution,” Neubauer said. “And they all stepped out of their comfort zone to do so.”
