Museum Meetup: Creative Connections

College of Design students, faculty and alumni are invited to attend the Creative Connections career event from 6–8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at the Christian Petersen Art Museum in Morrill Hall on the Iowa State campus. This event follows the annual Design Career Fair at the Iowa State Memorial Union.
Hosted by University Museums in collaboration with College of Design Career Services, Creative Connections will feature a speed-networking activity, a guided tour of current exhibitions, and opportunities to connect with College of Design alumni who have maintained a creative practice in their careers. Refreshments and ice cream from the ISU Creamery will be provided.
The evening will offer an informal setting for students to engage with faculty and alumni, with designated networking tables guided by conversation prompts. Special guests include:
- Colin Behr (BID 2015 Industrial Design / BS 2015 Apparel, Merchandising, & Design), founder and creative director of Wardrobe Theory Project; co-owner of Gōmbehr Studios
- Lindsey Croghan (MID 2016 Industrial Design), user experience design lead at John Deere
- Peter Goché (BArch 1991 / MArch 2005 Architecture), professor of practice in architecture; founder and executive curator of Black Contemporary
- Raluca Iancu, assistant professor of art and visual culture (printmaking)
- Ruki Neuhold-Ravikumar (MFA 2003 Graphic Design), professor of practice in graphic design; design strategist and leadership consultant
