Alessandra Segantini is a co-founding principal and partner with Carlo Cappai of C+S Architects in London and Treviso, Italy. Her innovative, inquisitive and forward-looking approach to design — especially her quest to expand the active role of designers in society through new technical and material possibilities and a sensitivity toward heritage and community engagement — has distinguished her as a leading architect of her generation.

Working with both private developers and public institutions, C+S aims to create public spaces that connect people with each other and with ecology, fostering their sense of belonging and identity. They believe in the ethical role of the designer in shaping society; they care about people and the planet.
