20 Artists, 20 Parks Virtual Exhibition Reception
Event Navigation
With museums and cultural institutions currently closed to stem the spread of COVID-19, the Iowa Arts Council has provided a virtual tour of the 20 Artists, 20 Parks exhibition installed at the Polk County Heritage Gallery in Des Moines. The show features artwork by 20 Iowa State University artists — most of whom are from the College of Design — created during residencies in 20 Iowa state parks last year. In lieu of the scheduled public reception, there will be a Facebook Live virtual opening reception from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, with artists Clark Colby, Kristen Greteman, Kim Moss, Austin Stewart, Omar de Kok-Mercado and Rob Wallace. “20 Artists, 20 Parks” is a partnership between the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Iowa State University and the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs.
