Cruz Garcia is a candidate for a tenure-track architecture, urbanism and design position in the ISU Department of Architecture. He will give a public presentation, “In Post-Novis All the Students Are the Teacher,” from 1–2 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, in 130 Design.
Garcia currently is the Ann Kalla Co-Professor in Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University and co-founder of WAI Architecture Think Tank and the art collective Garcia Frankowski, and the founding co-curator of Beijing-based experimental art and discourse laboratory Intelligentsia Gallery. He is the former Hyde Chair of Excellence in Architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Visiting Teaching Fellow at the School of Architecture at Taliesin.
