Event Navigation

April 19th Iowa State University Department of Architecture will hold the inaugural Substance Design Forum. The forum is a prize that recognizes the final comprehensive design project of BARCH/MARCH students. The forum was initiated by Substance Architecture to host a final competition of five projects by inviting two renowned architects as reviewers and jurors. Judging criteria is based on the design response to the project brief as defined by the studio professors. This year Marlon Blackwell (2017 Cooper Hewitt Design Award recipient) and Julie Snow (2018 AIA Architecture Firm Award recipient) have been invited as guest Jurors and will deliver a short talk following deliberation.
