Post Digital Exhibition
Post Digital is a student-curated exhibition of work from a spring 2019 class taught by architecture lecturer Leslie Forehand.
Post Digital emerged as a method of drawing that rejects realistic rendering techniques, often embodying digital collage. Renderings assume the language of photography, aspiring toward images of the real world. They are generated through design first, drawing second. Post Digital is a homecoming of the paper architecture of Archigram and Superstudio, where a drawing is not a window onto the world but a way of making the world.
Students explored the Post Digital, extending past the drawing into virtual reality, digital fabrication and object making. The class culminates in an exhibition on display in gallery 181 throughout finals week, May 5-11.
